Specialist SpLD Dyslexia Assessor
​I am a fully qualified Level 7 Specialist Dyslexia Teacher and Assessor accredited with the British Dyslexia Association as an Associate Member (AMBDA). I have been working in UK mainstream and special education schools for over 30 years, at both primary and secondary phases in many differing roles, including working as a Teacher of the Deaf and a one-to-one Social Emotional and Mental Health Teacher. I have practical experience of a wide range of special educational needs which is especially important since many of these needs can occur alongside dyslexia.

My approach prioritises creating a calm space where your child can feel as relaxed as possible, establishing a rapport early on which ensures children find the day enjoyable, possibly even fun! Each assessment is individualised and specifically designed for your child, such as using hobbies to maximise motivation and interest. On a personal note, I am also a parent with experience of navigating the SEND system which allows me to better understand and assist other parents and their children towards a more successful future. I very much look forward to working with you.
